(Summer Masterclass) Week 32: Wheel Throwing - 2 Daytime Classes

2 intensive days of functional and shapeful wheel throwing
This set of 2 masterclasses by Cille Grossel with their Master's Degree in Ceramic Design, is for you who already have some experience with wheel throwing and want to refine their technique, delve deeper into form, and work purposefully with functional ceramics.
The class is a set of 2 days.
Pick a date in the calendar. The classes will be on this day + the following day at the same time. Each class is 4 hours. We will work on throwing bowls, cups, and pitchers – with a focus on shapes and form language, proportions, and functionality. The course emphasizes creating well-thought-out utilitarian objects, where technique and aesthetics go hand in hand.
We will skip the treacherous teapot – but we will approach that level of complexity through pitchers and lids, if you wish. The structure of the classes is: Day 1)

- Wheel throwing of shapes of varied complexity.
- Trimming and retouching our shapes.
- Learning to make add-ons such as handles, spouts, lids - for the adventurous students.
- Hand modelling in combination with our shapes.
- Decorating - carving and coloring
- Choose glazes - The Let's Clay team will glaze your pieces for you.
What is included
Aprons, towels and whatever you'll need to be clean(ish) and safe is included in your class price. Even though it is a very special occasion, you don't need to wear your Sunday Best and Blue Suede Shoes, but any clothes that can go in the washer is perfect. Any clay you'll get on you comes right off.
A light vegetarian snack plus all the coffee, tea and water you could possibly drink is included in your class price.
All materials and firings of up to 6 pieces are included in your class price, and more can be added for +75 DKK/piece.
