Pottery Wheel Throwing - 1-day Class

This class will introduce you to the skill of wheel throwing. You will get a fun hands-on experience of what all the fuzz is about, and also walk home with about 4 of your own handcrafted pieces. It's also a superfun activity for friends, family or groups! As the class is only one day, the Let's Clay Team will finish, fire and glaze your pieces for you, in the colored glazes of your choice from our wonderful glaze library. When everything has cooled from the kiln and has been sanded and packed, you can stop by 6 weeks later to pick everything up. Best suited for ages 15+ (reach out if younger)

Let's Make a Mug

The talented Let's Clay team will have hand thrown a selection of cups for you to pick from. The cups are kept soft enough for you to be able to let your creativity flow however you want, by adding your own perfectly fitting handle or a dragon to keep your tea hot and maybe carve a pattern, name or sweet message into the surface of the clay. Whatever you can imagine really! We have developed a rainbow of lovely colors you can use to paint your Mug, if you like! Finally pick your favorite glaze from our glaze selection (if you haven't done any coloring yourself), and we will take care of the colorglazing and the firing of your masterpiece. Your new favorite cup or mug will be finished and ready for pick up after 6 weeks. This is not a wheel throwing class. \*The price is for these available hours only. Private events outside of these hours can be booked by a minimum of 10 attendees by getting in touch via hello@letsclay.dk

Open Studio (for former Let's Clay students only)

When we have nothing else planned, we open our studio for former students to practice their newly learned skills on their own. \*Open Studio is for former Let's Clay students only It's straightforward - you book one of our pottery wheels for 3 hours at a time for a fixed price, and pay only a little extra if you want to make bigger things or get your stuff fired. You'll need to both throw and trim, and you'll have full access to our studio, tools, everything - except glazes, as we'll glaze your works for you, in the colours you choose from our glazes library. There will be no teaching during Open Studio, but one of us will be there to answer any questions and help you find what you need.

This set of 4 classes will teach you the full process of wheel throwing, trimming and glazing ceramics. Hand building - 3 Weeks Evening Class

With this new and exciting set of classes, we invite you to explore the challenging yet relaxing world of hand building techniques. The classes will revolve around flower pots, in theme with the season and inviting a bit more nature inside. Here you will have the opportunity to sculpt something completely unique with your own hands, and let your creativity run wild. You will be guided by our skilled hand building instructor, Morgan, who is ready to ensure that you have a fantastic and educational experience in a pleasant environment. Pick a starting date in the calendar. From here classes are the same weekday and time for 3 weeks. Every class is 2,5 hours + tidying up. When you attend our hand modeling workshop, you will experience a moment of deep relaxation and immersion in one of the world's most satisfying crafts. You will have the creative freedom of exploring sculptural work or prioritize straight lines and functionality. Come alone or bring the best people in your life and share the experience as you create pleasant memories to last. Best suited for ages 14+.

(Experienced) Wheel Throwing - 2 Classes

2 days of Figurative Throwing Join our Summer Class with Cille Grosell! Cille hasBachelor’s Degree in Ceramic Design, and a innovative way of using clay and wheel throwing for shaping large, sculptural pieces. Figurative Throwingis for you, who already have some experience with wheel throwing and want to refine their technique, delve deeper into form, and work purposefully with your ceramics pieces and their expression. You should be *experienced enough* to at least be able to *center 1 kilo of clay* by yourself. The class is a set of 2 days. Pick a date in the calendar. The classes will be on this day + the following day at the same time. Each class is 3,5 hours. We will work on large(ish) forms with a specific purpose, focusing on shapes and form language, proportions, and their functionality. The course emphasizes creating well-thought-out objects, where technique and aesthetics go hand in hand. We will skip the treacherous teapot this time – but we will approach that level of complexity through lids, spouts, handles and/or hand modelled elements to your designs. The structure of the classes is: Day 1) Introduction and presentation on tradition, form, and function in ceramics. We will work with idea development, planning, and sketching of our own designs. This will be followed by wheel throwing of ceramic forms – from simple to more complex expressions. Day 2) Trimming of the thrown pieces, as well as assembling details such as decorations, handles, and spouts. We will conclude the day with an introduction to glaze selection. The Let's Clay team will glaze your pieces for you.
